Who knew there was no one list of the Texas Rangers? This project is a personal passion to create the BEGINNINGS of a single list that is search friendly and easily accessible by the public.

Five Character Traits of a Texas Ranger
Courage, Determination, Dedication, Respect and Integrity*
Courage is doing what you have to do even when you are really scared.
Determination is deciding that you are going to do the right thing, and then doing it no matter what gets in your way.
Dedication is being devoted, or giving time, effort, or yourself, to something, even in the face of adversity or inconvenience.
Respect means that you understand that, despite any superficial differences, other people are just like you, and that you should always think about how your actions may make someone else feel, and how you would feel if they acted toward you in the same way.
Integrity means doing the right thing because it is the right thing to do, not because you might get a reward for doing it, or in trouble if you don’t. It also means doing what you said you would do because you said you would do it. It means that people can believe in you, because you always keep your word.

Volunteering at the Texas Ranger Heritage Center in Fredericksburg, TX has turned out to be a fantastic opportunity for life-long learning. Many of our visitors are descendants of the earliest Rangers and delight in sharing stories that have been handed down through generations.
CCC is researching and developing a list of Texas Rangers with the intent of providing open access to the public. The list includes:
- references and links to sources,
- cross-references for names (for example: Wm., William, Bill),
- rank, company, and senior officer, and
- ranging area and headquarters.
Early records have been destroyed by fires, others purged, and still others – well, we don’t know. For now, this list is in the early stages of being formalized for productive use by others.
People, just like yourself, offer suggestions, provide content, and contribute resources for official documentation.
If you would like a copy of the most current list or have documents to contribute, please email Linda@LJcoaching.com with Subject: Texas Rangers List Project.
